For Parents

During the process of writing this book (well over one year) many prayers and hours of chapel writing time went into this book. During this process several parents told me stories about their young adult children and the challenges they were having finding what they were supposed to do with their lives. They mentioned a book like this would be extremely helpful if they could get it in their hands and get them to read it.
So let’s be realistic. Getting a book into someone’s hands is one thing, and most of us can do that. Getting a person to read a book is another challenge altogether.
For that reason this book was written in the style that no matter what chapter a young man or woman opens up about they are bound to find something that connects with them. Greater reading progress or results will happen in God’s good time.

We are all called to be Seed Planters

I remember when I was a young man, more than one generous person that cared about me gave me a book as a gift that they said would be excellent reading. And like many busy young people I thanked them for the books and put them on my dresser for days, weeks, months, in some cases in a drawer for years. The important thing to know is that even though I didn't read those books right then, I eventually DID read them. Two of them had a tremendous impact on me years after I receive them. One was called the Imitation of Christ by Thomas Kemp is…(a classic) the other was titled Psycho Cybernetics by Maxwell Maltz M.D. Once I started reading them, I was self-motivated to finish them.
So as Parents, Grand Parents, Aunts and Uncles our first achievable goal should be to get good books like God Has Great Plans for You! into their hands. Then to pray and trust God will take it from there. I for one am confident He will!
